AS FEATURED IN
Fordite
American Muscle
The American Muscle jewelry collection is an ever changing collection where each piece is truly unique and most definitely One Of A Kind. Each handmade item is created with 100% recycled, made in the USA, materials from the sterling silver to the Fordite center piece.
Fordite is vintage automobile paint that has been reclaimed from automotive plants as far south as Bowling Green, Kentucky to Detroit, Michigan. Who would have thought that layers of automotive paint would turn into the most distinctive and stunning jewelry?
At this point most lapidary artists are stating that their supplies of Fordite are getting low, making this One Of A Kind jewelry even more desirable. While you'll find most of the jewelry here is made with reclaimed materials from the Corvette plant in Kentucky, our donation goes to a non-profit in Detroit where the term Fordite originated.
With each piece of Fordite jewelry sold, 20% of the sales price goes to a non-profit in the Southwest corner of Detroit called Garage Cultural. This organization gives back to its community through Art Education, Community Engagement and Artist Development. Visit GarageCultural.org to find out more about their amazing work.
