Introduction to Metalsmithing
at Good Day Café

Join jewelry artist Anna Hudick for a hands-on, technique-based jewelry workshop designed to spark creativity and build real skills.
Anna is known for her thoughtful, modern designs and award-winning work shown throughout Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. In this relaxed, beginner-friendly, non-solder class, you’ll learn foundational metalsmithing techniques — including sawing, texturing, forming, and finishing — and use them to design and create one finished piece (earrings or a pendant) that reflects your personal style.
This workshop focuses on copper and jeweler’s brass, making it an accessible and playful introduction to metalsmithing while still producing a beautiful, wearable result. Samples are shared to spark inspiration, while students are encouraged to explore their own ideas rather than follow a fixed project.
✨ Each student receives a generous piece of copper or jeweler’s brass, along with jump rings, ear wires or headpins as needed to complete their design
✨ All tools and equipment are provided
✨ Students are welcome to bring their own beads to personalize their piece
No prior experience is necessary — just curiosity and a willingness to play.
